HOW TO LOOK FOR AND FIND FREE MONEY - PAGE 1
You've seen the ads -- free grant money, never repay -- free money to pay your bills, buy a house, start a business, take a vacation, whatever.
There are hundreds of "books" and CDs for sale that claim that anyone can get this free money: all you need to do is to pay $29.99 plus shipping (discount, today only) and the secret to getting free money will be yours.
But isn't it really true -- that there is free money?
It is true -- there is some free money out there. But there are lots and lots of limitations and eligibility criteria. You may have to live in a certain state or county; you may have to earn less than a specified amount of money; you may only be able to use the money for a specific purpose. Most people who are looking for these grants won't qualify to receive them.
So what's in these books anyway?
Nothing that you can't find on your own through the web, at a nearby library, or by making some phone calls. The people who put these books and CDs together just make copies of information that is publicly available from the government or other sources and put all this information together in one place.
But I really need a grant!
Most of the information won't apply to you because of the limitations and eligibility criteria mentioned above. In addition, once you read the information, you're right where you started -- on your own. The books and CDs don't tell you what to do with that information. Don't be a sucker -- don't buy these books. The only people who will get any free money from them are the people who sell them.
Lots of people have received free money because of the books.
"Donna Smith got $100,000 to start a new business." "James P. received a grant of $50,000 to travel the world." Who are Donna Smith and James P? Can you contact them to verify that they really got this money? Of course not. There is no address, no phone number, no e-mail. What kind of reference is that?
